Senior Health & Safety Manager – The Great Grid Partnership
Location: Flexible across project offices/sites (Suffolk to the East Coast of Yorkshire), with travel as required

We're looking for a Senior Health & Safety Manager to lead Health & Safety strategically across The Great Grid Partnership, supporting our Infrastructure business to deliver a safe, inclusive, and positive working environment as we upgrade and expand the UK's electricity network. In this role, you will set the strategic H&S direction across a major portfolio of work, take ownership of building and developing your own Health & Safety team, and play a pivotal role in shaping our safety culture.

Your role
  • Provide governance advice andsupportnecessaryto assist project leadership teams and staff to fulfil theirsafetyresponsibilities to the high standards demanded by the business.
  • Facilitate and coachoperationalteams onInclusion&Wellbeingand the respectiveengagementtools, which will allow the team to engageeffectively with the workforce.
  • Carry out relevant Health&Safetyassuranceactivities, providingconfidenceto the business thatoperationaleffectiveness of all relevant processes are being delivered.
  • Manage a team ofhealth ands safety professionals to provide support to a portfolio of infrastructure projects
What we're looking for
  • Level 6 health & safety qualification (or equivalent).
  • Experience on civils, infrastructure, or energy projects.
  • Strong understanding of occupational health, wellbeing, and safety risk management.
  • Confident in coaching, training, auditing, and investigating.
  • Member of a relevant professional body (IOSH, IIRSM, etc.).
