An international educational institution located in Cambridge is seeking a Head of School to lead multiple campuses. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting the school's vision and values, ensuring quality educational programs, and managing staff development. Candidates should have a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and at least ten years of senior leadership experience in international schools, preferably with a British curriculum background. Strong budget management and community engagement skills are essential.

Job Summary:
The Head of School provides leadership to promote and support the mission, vision, and values of the school across multiple campuses. Reporting directly to the Superintendent, this role maintains effective working relationships with all members of the school community and oversees efficient, productive day-to-day operations while fostering a dynamic learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Administration:
Communicate the school’s vision and mission to all stakeholders regularly
Supervise the Senior Leadership Team and delegate duties appropriately
Provide leadership to the total educational program of the school
Implement policies outlined in the EMS Policy Handbook
Oversee preparation and implementation of the annual budget
Collaborate with the Executive Council on handbook development, school calendar, and admissions procedures
Oversee maintenance, custodial, housing, and food service contracts (if applicable)
Staff Management & Development:
Responsible for recruitment, selection, and evaluation of staff
Oversee staff orientation and professional development strategy
Approve expenses for individual professional development activities
Develop promotional materials for staff recruitment
Student Safety & Discipline:
Ensure safety and security of students in all educational programs and activities
Ensure school discipline policy is documented in handbooks and consistently followed
Oversee development of promotional materials for student recruitment when necessary
Curriculum & Academic Oversight:
Collaborate with Director of Curriculum/Head of Teaching and Learning for curricular consistency
Oversee ordering of curriculum materials and textbooks
Maintain awareness of curriculum innovations outside the school
Support curriculum review and program implementation
Compliance & Accreditation:
Ensure compliance with all local legal requirements (MOEHE, SHC, Civil Defence, etc.)
Collaborate with accreditation teams for Qatar and international accreditations
Establish and update emergency procedures for the school
Accountable for all health and safety aspects of the school
Community & External Relations:
Attend all School Board meetings
Liaise with MOEHE representative assigned to the school
Provide monthly Campus Report to the Superintendent
Maintain positive relationships with school community and external organizations
Other Duties:
Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate superior
Job Requirements (Selection Criteria):
Educational Qualification:Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership or Administration
Experience:Minimum of ten years of senior leadership experience in international schools (experience with British/Cambridge curriculum preferred)

Passion for innovative teaching, inclusion, and student engagement
Excellent computer skills
Strong academic management and collaboration skills
Ability to foster team culture and manage staff effectively
Expertise in planning, organizing, and implementation
Ability to develop and implement learning strategies
Budget preparation and financial oversight capability
Patience and flexibility with varying schedules
Language proficiency: English
Additional Preference:Experience with accreditation processes (NEASC or similar)
