The Opportunity

We’re looking for an operational leader to take responsibility for our Ready-Mix operations across Scotland and the North of England, overseeing 24 sites and playing a key role in shaping operational excellence across the region.

Reporting to the Regional Director, this is a highly influential leadership role where you’ll shape performance, drive operational excellence, champion safety, and support our ambition to lead the market in sustainable construction. You’ll lead a large operational team, ensuring safe, efficient, reliable, and cost-effective delivery while developing talent and building a culture of performance and accountability.

What you'll be doing
  • Managing operational performance across 24 sites, ensuring reliability, cost control, and delivery against budget and strategic targets.
  • Leading, developing, and motivating operational teams, building capability, nurturing talent, and shaping a strong succession pipeline.
  • Driving continuous improvement in efficiency, productivity, quality, and equipment performance across the network.
  • Leading Health, Safety & Environmental excellence across the region, setting standards through visible leadership and strong partnership with HSE colleagues.
Who you are
  • You're an experienced operational leader, with demonstrable experience leading safe operations and influencing a safety culture.
  • You’ll be commercially astute, and confident managing a P&L and performance against KPI's.
  • You’ll be a collaborative leader, able to influence at a senior level whilst empowering and developing your teams.
