We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, ambitious and inspiring teacher of Music to lead our dedicated and already successful department.

The FitzWimarc School is a highly respected and over‑subscribed 11‑18 mixed comprehensive school. The importance of the Arts in the curriculum and the impact they have in developing confident, creative and critical thinkers is recognised and participation is positively encouraged. The department currently offers GCSE Music with a view to offering A Level, as well as a broad range of instrumental lessons, extra‑curricular clubs and enrichment activities including theatre trips. You will also be expected to work closely with other departments e.g. Drama and Dance and contribute to a range of performances throughout the year.

You will be an exceptional teacher who is practically able and passionate about promoting and delivering outstanding teaching, learning and attainment across all key stages. In addition, you will have the ability to provide guidance, support and advice to staff within the department, taking a leading role in modelling best practice.

Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills are essential together with a proven track record of achievement. The vacancy would suit an ambitious teacher of Music or existing Departmental Head seeking a new opportunity.
