# Head of Information and Library ServicesSince 1990, Cambridge Judge Business School (CJBS) has built a reputation as a centre of rigorous thinking and high-impact transformational education, situated within one of the world's most prestigious research universities and at the heart of the Cambridge Cluster - the most successful technology entrepreneurship cluster in Europe.At CJBS, we provide a specialist information and library service in the field of business and management studies to members of the business school and the wider University of Cambridge community. Our service boasts a world-class range of business databases covering company and financial data, industry and market reports, global news and much more.As Head of Information and Library Services, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and excellence across our library operations. This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for:* Shaping and implementing long-term strategies, benchmarking services globally, and leading projects that enhance resource accessibility and support teaching and research.* Staying ahead of developments in librarianship and technology.* Leading and inspiring a high-performing team through recruitment, training, workload allocation, and performance management.* Overseeing acquisition and evaluation of physical and electronic resources, negotiating supplier contracts, and maintaining a strong digital presence in collaboration with IT and Communications.* Promoting library services, managing complex enquiries, conducting surveys, and building strategic partnerships within and beyond the University.* Managing a substantial budget, producing long-term forecasts, and identifying opportunities for income generation and external funding.* Designing and delivering training programmes, integrating library services into curricula, and championing information literacy.* Representing the library on University and sector committees, ensuring compliance with copyright and data protection legislation.We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking leader to oversee our business information and library services. You will bring a proven ability to manage resources, budgets, and high-performing teams, coupled with expertise in professional library systems and copyright legislation.
