Overview

We are looking for a Head of Commercial to be based out of our Manchester, Birmingham or Edinburgh offices.

Job Title: Head of Commercial

Location: Manchester, Birmingham or Edinburgh

Contract: Full Time - Permanent

Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the Director of Projects, you will manage the Contract Administration, Capital Cost and Estimating for the UK.
  • You will lead the Commercial function of Engineering and Construction projects ensuring compliance with PM Group policies and procedures, manage risk and work closely with project teams to ensure projects are managed with the right level of commercial control to achieve project and business targets.
  • You will be responsible for the management and governance of the corporate risk framework in the UK, ensuring that all client contracts are executed in accordance with PM Group corporate procedures and policies, including liaison with business development, legal and the executive team.
  • This is a key and highly visible opportunity within PM Group to contribute to the continued success and growth of our UK business and operations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent in an engineering or commercial discipline
  • Professional Qualification in Quantity Surveying
  • Hold or be working towards RICS chartership
  • Experience of NEC3, NEC4, JCT and Bespoke Contracts
  • Extensive experience in Contract Administration, Cost Management and Estimating of medium / large-scale projects with a preference for Life Sciences/Industrial Complex Projects (Bio/Pharma/MedTech etc.)
  • Proven experience in multi-disciplinary project cost management
