Job summary

The role

We are looking for a Growth Marketer to bring our growth engine in-house.

Currently, our marketing is split across various contractors. Your mission is to consolidate these efforts, take full ownership, and build a cohesive, data‑led growth system that sits right next to the founder.

This is not a management role. There is no agency to brief. There is no team to delegate to. This is a role for a builder who wants to log into Ads Manager, write the email copy, and train our AI models themselves.

Why this role is different

We are betting big on AI to scale our "high‑touch" brand voice. We use a custom‑built GPT system to codify our tone, creative standards, and operational logic.

  • Most roles: You follow the brand guidelines.
  • This role: You own the brand guidelines and program them into our AI to scale our output.
What you will own
  • Take over the Meta ad accounts from external contractors. Audit the legacy data, cut the waste, and build a testing structure that works.
  • Own the budget, the bid strategy, and the creative feedback loop.
  • Goal: Move us from "maintaining" to "scaling" with predictable ROAS.
Own retention & lifecycle
  • Take full control of Klaviyo. You will build and optimise flows (Welcome, Abandoned Cart, Win‑back) and manage the campaign calendar in collaboration with the Merchandising Manager.
  • Move beyond "batch and blast" into genuine segmentation that treats our community like VIPs.
Steward the AI & brand system
  • The "Living" document: You will manage our custom GPT. You will feed it new winning copy, successful campaigns, and tone examples to keep it sharp.
  • Use AI tools to accelerate your own workflow - landing page ideation, data analysis, and creative iteration.
The DTC Experience
  • Collaborate with the Merchandising Manager on merchandising & sales trends, and drop strategies.
  • Run A/B tests on Shopify to improve Conversion Rate (CRO) and Average Order Value (AOV).
Who you are
  • 3–6 years of hands‑on DTC experience.
  • You have personally managed ad spend and email revenue for a brand doing £1M–£10M.
  • You are a practitioner. If we ask how to set up a CAPI integration or a conditional split in Klaviyo, you don’t need to Google it.
  • You are an office‑first builder. You thrive on the energy of a physical studio. You want to be in Camberwell, seeing the product and working side‑by‑side with the team to solve problems in real‑time.
  • AI‑native. You don't fear AI; you're already using ChatGPT, Midjourney, or Claude to make your life easier and your output better.
  • You have "taste" + "math". You understand why a specific aesthetic works for String Ting, but you make decisions based on CAC and LTV.
  • Real ownership: You aren't just a cog in a machine; you are building the machine. You will see the direct impact of your work on the bottom line every single day.
  • Modern skill stack: You will be one of the marketers who knows how to actually build and maintain AI brand systems, not just talk about them.
  • No red tape: Direct partnership with the leadership team and Merchandising Manager. High speed, high trust, high impact.
