Job description

At Dyson we believe everything could be better. Fuelled by a frustration with things that don’t work properly and a relentless obsession with making them work better, we’ve spent the last 25 years pioneering inventions and continually improving.

We’re growing fast. And our ambition is huge. But it’s not simply about more people and more profit. Dyson is all about better ideas and new technologies. It’s about inventing the future.

Our philosophy remains the same as it was 25 years ago when James Dyson invented the first cyclonic vacuum cleaner. We remain family‑owned. We don’t bow to outside shareholders or report to the stock exchange. Instead we plot our own path, unshackled from conventional thinking.

About The Role

Dyson’s Group Tax team are recruiting for a unique position that offers experience into the rapidly growing field of Tax Technology as well as the opportunity to support the group Tax function with its global compliance and reporting requirements.

As our Group Tax Accountant, you will assist in the development of tools and processes for efficient data extraction, data transformation and reporting. This will include supporting the preparation of UK corporate tax returns, ensuring tax payments are made on time, liaising with HMRC in a timely manner and assisting with our tax reporting requirements. You will be at the forefront of our digital transformation journey working as a key component of the Tax Technology function.

You will report to the Group Tax Manager and work with our tax technology team using software such as Alteryx, UiPath and Power Platform (training will be available for all of these) as well as other emerging technologies such as Gen AI.

About You
  • Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline, part qualified in accounting or tax preferred
  • Analytically minded with a keen interest in data, systems and process innovation
  • A good understanding of UK corporate tax concepts and compliance processes would be advantageous
  • Experience working with analytical automation software e.g. Alteryx, PowerPlatform or UiPath would be advantageous
  • Able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Able to work in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment
  • Proactive and able to manage own workload

The ideal candidate would have experience in either data analytics and process automation or UK Tax compliance. The successful candidate will be given training to improve their skills in both fields.

Benefits
  • Performance‑related bonus scheme
  • Life assurance
  • Discounts on Dyson machines and retail discounts
  • Free bus travel to and from campus (from Bristol, Bath, Chippenham, and Swindon)
Lifestyle
  • Free on‑site lunches, fruit, and hot drinks
  • Free on‑site sports centre, gym, hair salon, and lifestyle assistance (concierge)
  • Electric vehicle salary sacrifice scheme
  • Ability to purchase additional holiday
Health
  • Private medical insurance and dental insurance
  • Employee assistance programme, digital GP, on‑site physio and GP, prescription service, fertility treatment support
