Overview
AsGroup Parts Manager you will be responsible for overseeing all parts operations across two dealer points, a body shop, and a vehicle maintenance unit for Allports Group. This role focuses on driving sales, managing inventory, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction for commercial vehicles (HGVs and LCVs). The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with a proven track record in parts management, territory sales, and converting sales to workshop revenue.

Responsibilities
- Sales and Business Development: Develop and implement strategies to increase parts sales, focusing on both internal workshop demand and external territory sales. This includes identifying and targeting new business opportunities, particularly for HGVs and LCVs, and converting these sales into workshop services.
- Inventory Management: Oversee the entire parts inventory to ensure optimal stock levels. This includes ordering, receiving, and managing returns. The manager will implement efficient processes to minimize obsolescence and maximize parts availability, directly supporting the workshops and body shop.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the parts team across all locations. Foster a culture of excellence, high performance, and customer focus. This involves setting clear goals, conducting performance reviews, and providing ongoing training.
- Financial Performance: Manage budgets and financial targets for the parts department. Analyse sales data and reports to identify trends, forecast future needs, and adjust strategies to meet profitability goals.
- Customer Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers. Address any parts-related inquiries or issues to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure all parts operations comply with company policies and industry regulations. Implement best practices to improve efficiency, accuracy, and overall departmental performance.
Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience in parts management within the commercial vehicle or automotive industry, with a proven ability to manage multiple locations.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and team-building skills are essential.
- Sales: Demonstrated ability in territory sales, particularly in a parts and service environment.
- Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of HGV and LCV components and systems.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in parts management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
