Overview

Join to apply for the Graduate Geospatial Surveyor role at Tetra Tech Europe

Role title: Graduate Geospatial Surveyor

Start Date: September 2026

Location: Leeds and Cockermouth

In a graduate role you will work on exciting, ground-breaking projects from day one, with support to grow in your chosen discipline as well as training to develop the core skills needed to succeed in a professional organisation. Our early careers programme gives you the chance to connect with others across the region/business who are also starting their career, as well as mentoring, Chartership support & bonuses and more.

We take pride in delivering projects effectively for clients. This often requires colleagues to be together—in offices or on site—to ensure the best outcomes. However, when possible, we also advocate for flexibility around how, when, and where you work. There is no "one approach fits all" — each team manages their own way of working, we trust our employees and focus on outputs, not inputs.

Responsibilities
  • Part of the existing team delivering sometimes complex tasks and projects within prescribed timescales and budgetary constraints to the highest standard.
  • Resourcing planning, budgeting, monthly finance reporting, and related activities.
  • Support to all teams across the office as workload dictates, with willingness to go the extra mile to ensure work is delivered correctly and on time, including potential time outside of normal office hours.
  • Support the delivery of major projects and a range of smaller ones requiring specialist input, reporting on project progress, risks and issues, and ensuring they are mitigated and followed through.
  • Contribute to the delivery of innovative solutions for clients, and help manage costs to achieve project profitability.
  • Develop under the mentorship of a senior, chartered surveyor and work towards professional qualifications.
Qualifications/Skills
  • Minimum 2:1 BSc in Surveying and Mapping Sciences, geography or equivalent.
  • Experience in using Microsoft applications.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Self-motivated, professional and ethical business approach.
  • Team player, able to deliver multiple projects to deadlines while forming effective relationships.
  • Suitability for security clearance.
  • Full, clean UK driving license and ideally access to a vehicle.
