About You

As a Goods‑In Inspector, you will be responsible for receiving and inspecting incoming deliveries of raw materials, components, and products. Your key objective is to ensure that all goods meet required quality standards and match purchase orders and specifications before they enter the production process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods and materials against delivery notes and purchase orders
  • Check for damage, correct quantities, and compliance with quality standards or specifications
  • Record and report any discrepancies, damages, or quality issues
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to resolve any delivery or quality issues
  • Accurately maintain stock records and input data into inventory systems
  • Label, store, and move accepted goods to appropriate storage areas
  • Ensure that storage areas are kept clean, safe, and well organized
  • Assist with periodic stock counts and audits as required
  • Follow health and safety procedures at all times
Required Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience in a goods‑in or warehouse inspection role
  • Good understanding of engineering components and materials (metals, fasteners, machined parts, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail and quality‑focused mindset
  • Ability to read and interpret delivery notes, technical drawings, and purchase orders
  • Basic computer literacy (e.g., MS Excel, inventory software)
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
Desirable Skills & Experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing or engineering business
  • Forklift license (or willingness to train)
