About The Role
  • Responsible for globally sourcing and managing qualified metal manufacturing suppliers while developing accurate, scalable pricing models for metal components and assemblies. This role requires strong analytical skills, advanced spreadsheet capabilities, and a solid understanding of metal manufacturing processes, materials, and cost drivers to support competitive quoting and strategic sourcing decisions.
What You’ll Do
  • Source, qualify, and manage global metal manufacturing suppliers, developing new vendor relationships and strengthening existing partnerships.
  • Prepare accurate client quotes by developing and maintaining cohesive pricing models that reflect total product and assembly costs, material selection, quality requirements, currency fluctuations, and corporate financial targets.
  • Coordinate vendor RFQs and proposals by collaborating with sales, engineering, and internal teams to ensure timely, accurate, and competitive submissions.
  • Match vendors to projects based on manufacturing capabilities, confirm factory production and equipment requirements, and lead resourcing activities.
  • Maintain and optimize sourcing databases while implementing vendor performance metrics, scorecards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support pricing negotiations with vendors and clients, manage project budgets, identify cost‑saving opportunities, and drive production efficiency.
  • Apply and expand technical and metallurgical expertise across steel alloys, aluminum, nonferrous, and exotic materials.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the CEO.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree
  • Finance and accounting skillsExcellent communication skills – verbal and written
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in the manufacturing industry or a similar role
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and products (CNC machining, casting, forging, stamping, heading, fasteners, etc.), equipment, fabrication methods, and tool design
  • Experience with Project Management Software
  • Ability to oversee up to 20 concurrent RFQs with 2 to 10 suppliers per project
  • Problem‑solving ability with stellar organization skills
  • Availability Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm Eastern Standard Time
  • Ability to reliably commute to company headquarters
  • Excellent writing, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
  • Experience with software (FreshSales, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Fluent in English
  • Authorization to work in the United States (the Company is unable to sponsor work visas)
