Job description
About the Role

We are looking for experienced and dedicated General Practitioners to join our Out of Hours (OOH) service across Surrey, delivering essential face-to-face care during evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. As part of our team, you'll be working from our established network of Primary Care Centres located across the county, ensuring that patients have access to high-quality medical care outside of core GP hours.

This is an ideal opportunity for GPs seeking flexibility, variety, and the chance to make a significant impact within local communities. You will be part of a clinically-led service that values safe, responsive, and compassionate care. Our centres are equipped with the tools and support you need to focus on clinical excellence while enjoying autonomy in your practice.

Whether you’re looking to supplement your current role, return to clinical work, or prefer working non-traditional hours, we offer a range of shift patterns to suit your lifestyle. You’ll be supported by a friendly, professional multidisciplinary team and have access to continued professional development opportunities.

What you'll be doing
  • Delivering high-quality, face-to-face consultations to patients at our OOH Primary Care Centres
  • Assessing, diagnosing, and managing a wide range of acute primary care presentations
  • Working closely with clinical and operational teams to ensure safe and effective patient care
  • Maintaining accurate and timely clinical records using our digital systems
  • Following clinical governance procedures and contributing to service improvement
What we’ll look for in you
  • Fully qualified GP with GMC registration and inclusion on the NHS Performers List
  • Evidence of experience working in primary care, urgent care, or out-of-hours settings
  • Strong communication and decision-making skills, with a focus on patient-centred care
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to clinical excellence and professional development
  • Availability to work evening, weekend, and bank holiday shifts
