A premium pub in Greater London is seeking a driven General Manager to lead operations and create a memorable customer experience. Portobello Pubs and Bars strives to be the best pub company in London to work in, treating our whole team with respect and support, and creating the best atmospheres for ourselves and our customers. We are looking for a General Manager for Knowles of Norwood, a premium pub on the High Street. Knowles has long been a favourite of the community, with a great reputation for craft beers, cocktails, fresh food, Sunday roasts, after works drinks and family gatherings. Recently refurbished throughout and with great potential for further growth.
Our new GM will be very ambitious and driven to make a name for themselves by exceeding sales expectations, using the extensive facilities of the building, including its interactive darts and beer garden, and establishing themselves as the face of Norwood.
Experience of being a GM before is desirable, but ambition and enthusiasm are even more important, and this could be a chance for a very confident and experienced deputy to take their first big challenge.

You will work closely with your management team, including your head chef, to drive a team effort to deliver a great experience for our customers on every shift, partnering the finest food with our unique drinks offer, building an atmosphere that makes you the beating heart of every shift.
You will be fully responsible for the pubs P&L, so converting sales to profit is also important. You will have an eagle eye for detail, ensuring our guests journey from beginning to end will leave them wanting more.
You will be at the forefront of training your team, with a genuine passion to develop and nurture your future stars and in turn, take your business forward. We believe in developing a strong bench, having a succession plan in place to reduce any recruitment needs and in turn develop our people into the next Portobello General Managers.
You will demonstrate all of this by upholding our company values of honesty, integrity and fairness with our teams, our guests and anyone else associated with our business.
