Gate and Barrier Automation Engineer

Description

UK leading fencing contractor looking to recruit a Gate and Barrier Automation Engineer/Access Control Engineer. You will be responsible for delivering automated system installations, responding to callouts, and carrying out maintenance and repairs across the business. This role involves working both independently and as part of a team of engineers and technical specialists to design, install, test and commission automation and access control systems.

Our expertise covers the design, supply and installation of fencing, security systems, vehicle restraints, noise barriers, gates, access control and associated ground works. Key Responsibilities
  • Install, program, and commission automatic gates, barriers, and associated command and safety equipment.
  • Install, configure, and commission access control systems.
  • Attend reactive callouts to existing automatic gate and barrier systems.
  • Carry out inspections and testing on existing automated gates and barrier installations.
  • Conduct risk assessments on new and existing automatic gate and barrier systems.
  • Service and maintain existing automatic gate and barrier equipment.
  • Perform force testing on new and existing gate and barrier systems in line with current standards.
  • Complete all required documentation in a timely and accurate manner, including worksheets, timesheets, risk assessments, and force test reports.
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments and business units to ensure smooth project delivery.
Experience and Qualifications

Previous experience in a similar role.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary based on experience along with a full benefits package. A company car allowance will be provided. Additional earnings available via overtime and working away rate.
