Gas Engineer Service Repair – Peterborough

Location: Peterborough, England, United Kingdom

Overview

Field Service Engineer role providing onsite technical assistance to customers during overhaul, repair, maintenance, fault finding and installation/commissioning of steam turbines and gearboxes. Develop and manage exceptional customer relationships through technical capability and professional interaction.

What will you do?
  • Deliver a very high technical and professional level of service to customers, with a focus on safety and quality. Aim to achieve on time in full, to schedule and right first time.
  • Provide detailed site reports to required standards, highlighting actions and opportunities for improvement.
  • Supervise activities of Company or customer supplied Technicians, including day-to-day safety, site activities and discipline.
  • Follow health and safety procedures and complete required risk assessments.
What do you bring? (Essential)
  • Knowledge of site maintenance and repair of Steam Turbines.
  • Ability to develop and manage good customer relationships through professional management.
  • Demonstrated experience with health and safety focus.
  • Ability to supervise others at site during complex installation, commissioning and maintenance activities.
  • Ability to work as part of a team or as an individual.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; able to produce detailed written technical documents (risk assessments, site reports, root cause analysis, method statements, scopes of work, project plans).
  • Experience in international assignments where English may not be the main language.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence.
Desirable
  • Knowledge of site installation and commissioning of Steam Turbines; training may be provided.
  • Knowledge of site installation and commissioning of Reciprocating Compressors; training may be provided.
  • Knowledge of site maintenance and repair of Gearboxes; training may be provided.
  • Previous offshore experience.
