Job description

Fen Research, creator of the MMORPG "Brighter Shores" is seeking an additional game developer. Following our successful launch in early November 2024, we're looking for a developer who can both design and code new content for the game.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Design and code new quests, professions, raids, minigames, events, new game mechanics, etc... using our in‑house game engine.
  • Create compelling stories, dialogue, lore, characters, and world‑building elements that align with the game’s narrative.
  • Work as part of a team, collaborating with our audio and graphics developers to realize everyone's ideas.
WHO YOU ARE
  • A programmer with experience in any 'C' or Java like programming language, and experience working on video games in either a professional, educational or hobby capacity.
  • A designer with a flair for narrative and dialogue.
  • Someone who enjoys regularly playing video games or board games.
  • Able to work in our Cambridge, UK, office. This is not a remote or hybrid position.
  • 18 or older, and must have the right to work in the UK.
