Qualifications

  • Degree qualified (or equivalent) in an appropriate engineering subject.
  • Good understanding of hardware/software integration and test activities.
  • Experience using general commercial lab test equipment.
  • Experience using data analysis tools/methods.
  • Knowledge of electronics technologies and products is an advantage.

  • Adaptability and innovation in a varied role.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver technical delivery of functional integration and system verification activities.
  • Support the Chief Systems Proving Engineer in delivering all Compatibility and Software Integration activities.
  • Interface with project customers to plan and achieve design verification.
  • Manage and mentor a team of integration engineers.

Salary: £50,000-£65,000 (depending on experience)

Dynamic (hybrid) working: To be agreed with Line Manager

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Rights to work may apply. All successful candidates will need to undergo HMG BPSS checks administered by MBDA Personnel Security Team.

Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Integration and Systems Validation (ISV) within missile Compatibility/Integration for an enthusiastic, motivated individual who wants to broaden their skills. The Functional Integration Lead is responsible for leading, owning, and delivering the day‑to‑day technical delivery of functional integration and system verification activities for a programme or family of systems. You will support the Chief Systems Proving Engineer in delivering all Compatibility, HWIL, and Software Integration activities required to integrate and test missile and munition equipment. You will interface with different project customers and stakeholders to plan and achieve key design verification and evidence, with a hands‑on, practical approach in planning and conducting integration and compatibility proving activities. You will manage and mentor a team of integration engineers, support skills development, and lead knowledge sharing initiatives.
