Haystack has partnered with this client to find a talented Mid-Level Frontend Developer specialising in React and Next.js. This role offers an opportunity to join a growing, collaborative development team and take ownership of key features and projects.

We’re looking for a Frontend Developer with solid experience in React and Next.js to join a growing development team. You’ll take ownership of small projects and small to medium‑sized features, write high‑quality components, and work closely with designers and backend developers to deliver smooth, performant user experiences. This is a hands‑on role for someone confident in modern React practices who’s looking to deepen their skills in performance, testing, and collaborative delivery.

Base pay range

Salary: up to £50k per annum dependent on experience.

Hybrid role: 1‑day a week in‑office in Manchester if within a 1‑hour commute | 1‑day a month in‑office if outside of a 1‑hour commute.

Skills & Knowledge Expected at This Level

• 3+ years of experience building frontend applications with React and Next.js.
• Strong understanding of component‑based architecture, routing, and data‑fetching strategies (SSR/SSG/ISR).
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross‑functional team.
• Bonus: Experience with Tailwind CSS or animation libraries.
