Freelance Senior Client Manager – Reporting Projects

Contract:Freelance
Location:London (Hybrid)
Reports to:Client Director
Duration: c.4 months (December – March)

Overview

We are looking for anexperienced Freelance Senior Client Manager to support the delivery of complex annual, sustainability, and corporate reporting projects.You’llbe the primary point of contact for major clients–coordinating internal teams, managing timelines and budgets, and ensuring exceptional delivery.

You’llhave a strong understanding ofthe reporting landscape andstakeholder needs, alongside the ability to manage large-scale print and digital deliverables from concept through to artwork and publication.

Although the role is at SCM level,we’reopen to conversations with hands-on, delivery-focused candidates at Client Director or Client Manager level as well.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full lifecycle ofannualand sustainability reports – from kick-off and content planning through design, proofing, and delivery.
  • Coordinate with strategy, design, copywriting, and production teams to ensure creative and technical excellence.
  • Oversee schedules and budgets, tracking amends and approvals through multiple proof stages.
  • Prepare for and lead client meetings, ensuring decisions are documented and actions are followed through.
  • Act as the main client liaison – managing expectations,leading meetings,advising on process and best practice, and providing clear progress updates.
  • Maintainaccurateproject documentation: estimates, timing plans,invoices, and profitability tracking.
  • Keepup to dateon all deliverables and manage out-of-scope work.
  • Book studio time and purchase/ manageexternal resources as needed.
  • Support and mentor junior account managers or executives across concurrent projects.

  • Ability to stay calm under pressure, multitask, and think logically toanticipateand solve problems.
  • Ideally5+ years’ client management experience, ideally within a reporting or corporate communications agency.
  • Proventrack recordmanaging annual reports, sustainability/ESG reports, or integrated communications projects.
  • Strong understanding of print/digital production processes.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Outlook, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat.
  • Familiarity withCrtlPrint,Workivaand Paprikais a plus.
