Food Services Assistant

Location: Ipswich Hospital

Hours: Monday - Friday / 07.00 - 14.45

Pay: £12.51 per hour

Are you passionate about delivering excellent customer service and ensuring patients receive nutritious meals in a caring environment? Join our team as a Food Services Assistant and make a real difference every weekend.

What you’ll do:
  • Accurately take patient refreshment orders, including dietary and allergy requirements.
  • Assemble and present patient meals to a high standard.
  • Deliver meals to patients’ rooms, ensuring comfort and assistance where needed.
  • Maintain hygiene standards by cleaning crockery, cutlery, trays, and ward kitchen areas.
  • Monitor stock control and complete all required documentation.
  • Communicate politely and professionally with patients and staff at all times.
What we’re looking for:
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent presentation and customer service skills.
  • Good communication and literacy skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (essential).
