Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both written and verbally.
  • Compassionate, patient, and resilient approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Able to lone work.
  • A full UK Driving Licence, and access to a reliable car.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and risk management.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, person-centred support based on individual support and pathway plans.
  • Encourage and support young people to develop essential life skills.
  • Help young people access, reengage or remain in education or employment.
  • Establish trusting and professional relationships with young people.
  • Offer guidance and emotional support to help young people manage emotions.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of daily logs and reports.
  • Liaise with relevant professionals to ensure effective support.
  • Assist young people in planning healthy daily routines.
  • Respond effectively to challenging behaviour using de-escalation techniques.
  • Ensure the living environment is safe and welcoming.
