Job description

We’re looking to hire an experienced Embedded Engineer to join our dynamic team. Based in Cambridge, north of the City Centre and next to the A14, this is a great opportunity to get deeply involved in the design and development of innovative capacitive touch applications. We’re seeking someone with a natural curiosity, passionate about their work, with great attention to detail, and eager to learn. The nature of our technology requires combining different disciplines, processes, and outlooks. We’re looking for someone to help set up and maintain best practices in creating and supporting electronics and firmware driving our printed sensors.

Requirements
Responsibilities & Expertise
  • Working with the CTO, engineering subcontractors, and design team to drive long-term development strategy, including tools, code style, best practices, and future research.
  • Broad, practical engineering skills and an analytical, methodical approach to problem-solving in PCB layout and PCBA build.
  • Firmware and software development, including design, implementation, testing, debugging, and maintenance.
  • Practical use of test equipment – oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters.
  • Embedded skills (Embedded C, C++, Python).
  • Understanding of capacitive touch operation and analog electronics.
  • Knowledge of data communication protocols – including USB and Bluetooth Low Energy.
  • Creating configuration tools for PC and Mac.
  • A willingness to learn and articulate verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Comfortable working with creative teams and open to trying new approaches.

  • Development of iPhone/Android applications.
