Fire Fighting Instructor (Casual)

Serco is recruiting Casual Fire Fighting Instructors to join the team at Warsash Maritime Academy, assisting in the delivery of high‑quality courses to the maritime and offshore industries. The role is a zero‑hour contract, Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week, with a salary of £33,248 plus benefits.

Main Accountabilities
  • Adhere to Warsash Maritime Academy’s (WMA) quality assurance procedures.
  • Carry out instructional duties on firefighting courses organised by WMA, including practical demonstrations and exercises, ensuring that training standards meet company, national and international guidelines.
  • Ensure the health, safety and welfare of staff and students in accordance with WMA Fire School safety procedures, providing immediate first aid if necessary.
  • Provide support services for the Fire School, including care and maintenance of premises and equipment.
  • Assess individual students or groups in accordance with relevant standards, as required.
  • Take part in any required personal development activities to improve course delivery.
  • Complete additional administrative or other duties agreed upon.
Essential
  • Firefighting experience.

  • BAI.
