Job summary

A leading adult social care provider in London is seeking a Finance Support Officer to manage transaction processing, particularly in Purchase Ledger. The ideal candidate will possess demonstrable finance transaction processing experience, an understanding of finance software, and strong IT skills, especially in MS Excel and Word. Qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience of working in a Finance transaction processing function.
  • Experience of using finance software efficiently and effectively.
  • Good level of education, especially in Maths and English.
  • Good level of IT skills and proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the purchase ledger inboxes to identify potential processing backlog.
  • Ensure all invoices and payment requests are checked, prepared promptly and accurately.
  • Log invoices to the Finance system and ensure they are sent to the correct budget holder.
  • Review invoices awaiting approval and chase those up.
  • Investigate and resolve issues with aged creditors' records.
