Family Solicitor – Leeds

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Family Solicitor to join a reputable and growing Legal 500 firm in Yorkshire. This role is perfect for an enthusiastic and experienced Solicitor looking for flexible working arrangements, strong career development prospects and the chance to work within a friendly, close-knit team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a varied caseload including divorce, private children matters, non-molestation orders and financial remedy work
  • Work independently on files, including taking over ongoing cases
  • Attend court for directions hearings, first appointments and FDRs
  • Prepare legal documents and maintain effective communication with clients and external parties
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements, including LAA rules and the Solicitors Act
  • Support and supervise junior colleagues, including carrying out file reviews
Person Specification
  • Qualified Family Solicitor with at least 2-3 years' PQE (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience across a broad spectrum of family law matters such as children issues, divorce, financial disputes and domestic abuse
  • Knowledge of TOLATA cases is advantageous
  • Excellent client care and strong drafting skills
  • Confident in legal aid processes and billing requirements
  • Ability to supervise other fee earners and meet LAA supervisor standards
  • Commercial awareness and the capability to assist with generating new business are desirable
