Our adult community services teams deliver care at the heart of the local communities we serve, working in partnership with GPs, local authorities and other healthcare and voluntary sector organisations. Working with our partners in Lambeth and Southwark, we are focusing on new ways of working to improve care for local patients.
In February 2021 the Royal Brompton and Harefield joined Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, bringing together world‑leading expertise in the care and research of heart and lung disease. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Experienced Band 5 Dermatology nurse to join our Medical and Specialist Dermatology Service which is part of the internationally renowned St. John's Institute of Dermatology.
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about improving patient experience, an effective communicator, organised, proactive, self‑motivated, keen learner, reliable and a good team player.
The successful candidate will commence work in the Dermatology Department covering the Phototherapy Unit (Dowling Day), Cutaneous Allergy and our Tertiary clinics in our Outpatient Unit.
As a team we provide a wide range of services supporting both general and tertiary specialist dermatology clinics for adult patients with severe
dermatological conditions.

The post holder will work closely with the Multi Disciplinary team, to facilitate how best to achieve quality patient experience outcome whilst acting within clearly defined policies/procedure guidelines, and codes of conduct.
The staff nurse will be responsible for undertaking clinical practice within the Medical &Specialist Dermatology Service and improving patient care
experiences and outcomes that emphasize team working and the delivery of highly coordinated and patient‑Centred care.
The Band 5 Staff Nurse role is suitable for an experienced Band 5 looking for a new challenge to further their leadership, people and clinical
management skills. Please note that Dermatology and Outpatients experience is preferred.

You should be a Registered Nurse on the NMC register willing to carry out clinical practice within designated clinical areas whilst ensuring that high quality, current evidence‑based nursingassessment, care planning, implementation, interventions and evaluation of care is provided for patients
Previous Dermatology and outpatients experience is preferred.
