Job summary

A leading event services company is seeking Event Stewards to work at various events in Wigan and across the North. This role involves welcoming visitors, providing customer service, and ensuring safety at events. Candidates must be over 18 and have good English skills. The hourly pay is £12.21. Flexible casual shifts available.

Responsibilities

  • Welcoming all visitors to the venue/event.
  • Dealing with queries and offering additional information regarding the event.
  • Checking access passes.
  • Showing fans to their seats, toilets, bars & catering.
  • Helping to direct flow of foot traffic.
  • Providing emergency evacuation messages.
  • Offering excellent customer service to ensure smooth running of the event.
  • Remembering emergency code words and procedures.
  • Being the eyes and ears for the safety team.
  • Assisting with parking and traffic direction.

We are looking for Event Stewards to work at events in Wigan and across the North. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work at a multitude of events such as sporting events, concerts, and festivals, in particular: Wigan Warriors, Wigan Athletic, Burnley FC, Manchester United FC, Derby County FC, Leicester City FC, Silverstone Race Circuit, Everton FC, Wolverhampton Wanderers, and many more! Transport may occasionally be available to events around the country when needed.

We consistently achieve this goal through the three key parts of our business: Event Services, Training, and temporary Hostile Vehicle Mitigation (HVM). We pride ourselves on providing a world-class level of customer service and are looking for industry-leading experts to join us in experiencing working at what we like to call, the world's special moments!

Responsibilities include and are not limited to:

  • Welcoming all visitors to the venue/ event
  • Dealing with any queries and offering additional information regarding the event
  • Checking access passes (where applicable)
  • Showing fans to their seats, toilets bars & Catering
  • Helping to direct flow of foot traffic
  • Providing emergency evacuation messages and assisting with disorder
  • Offer an excellent level of customer service to ensure the smooth running of the event
  • Remembering emergency code words, fire and first aid procedures
  • Being the eyes and ears of the event and ensuring the safety team have the information they require
  • Assisting the car parking teams in parking cars and coaches at events
  • Assisting the traffic teams in directing traffic or road closures

Required skills, qualifications, and experience:

  • You must have a good level of verbal and written English
  • The ability to keep calm in high pressured situations

Shift times will vary on each event, early and late shifts will be available.

All work is offered on a casual basis giving you flexibility to work around your current commitments.

Rate of pay:

The hourly rate will be £12.21.
