Overview

An exciting new vacancy within Altro’s technical services function. The European Technical Services Manager is the driving force behind world class technical support and product performance across the UK and Europe. This permanent, full‑time, hybrid role can be based from Letchworth Garden City or the Altro office in Dessau, Germany.

Responsibilities

• Translate the global technical strategy into a European roadmap covering capability, structure, processes, tools, and team development.
• Act as Altro’s senior technical authority for installation and product performance, ensuring floor, wall, and resin solutions deliver exceptional results.
• Drive customer excellence through robust technical validation, documentation, training, and field support.
• Oversee complex installation investigations and build strong relationships with installers, distributors, contractors, and major customers.
• Work cross‑functionally with Product Management, R&D, Operations, Regulatory Affairs, Sustainability, and Sales to integrate Technical Services into product launches and lifecycle improvements.
• Lead teams in the UK and Dessau, fostering a high‑performance culture, defining development paths, and promoting safety and continuous improvement.
• Own the strategic direction and delivery of Altro’s Training Centres, ensuring programmes and materials reflect modern installation techniques and industry standards.
• Use data and field feedback to drive continuous improvement in technical processes, training, and digital tools.
• Travel regularly between the UK, Dessau, and across Europe for customer and site visits.

Qualifications

Relevant experience in technical services, product performance, or a related field within the construction or manufacturing sector. Proven leadership skills in building and managing high‑performance teams. Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement. Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple regions.
