Employee Benefits Consultant

We are on the hunt for a talented Employee Benefits Consultant to join our growing team based in Southampton. You’ll work Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week, with no weekends or evenings. No experience necessary as we will provide you with full training. You’ll also be rewarded with all the great benefits of working with the UK’s largest independent Insurance Brokers – Towergate Employee Benefits.

Our Employee Benefits Consultants are a key part of our business, speaking to our customers and providing advice on new products, renewals, and ensuring we understand their needs, and provide products and services that exceed their expectations and retain their loyalty. We strive to provide a market-leading customer experience, driven by you. You will meet our commercial targets by maximizing business and service opportunities from all contacts.

Salary: £24,000 - £29,000 depending on experience

Location: Southampton

Responsibilities
  • Manage a personal portfolio of small/mid-range clients, meeting new business and renewal targets.
  • Consistently adhere to sales quality standards, ensuring high-quality customer outcomes.
  • Promote additional products and handle new business enquiries.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and insurers.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the PMI (Private Medical Insurance) market, products, and regulation.
  • Negotiate premiums with insurers to secure the best value for clients.
  • Input notes on all business, new/retention into database.
  • Ensure relevant paperwork is on file to ensure compliant process is complete.
Qualifications
  • Experience within Financial Services/General Insurance/Private Medical Insurance preferable.
  • Strong relationship and account management experience.
  • IT Skills: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Professional with a customer-focused approach.
  • Work well as part of a team as well as using own initiative.
