A prominent arts organization in Salford is seeking two part-time Emerging Creatives for up to 6 months. This role supports individuals at the beginning of their creative careers, offering experience across various departments. Ideal candidates are interested in arts and culture, can work independently and as part of a team, and are comfortable with Microsoft Office. The position starts in March 2026, with a part-time salary of £7,862.40 for 3 days a week.
We are looking for two Emerging Creatives, based in Greater Manchester, to join our team on a part time basis (3 days a week) for up to 6 months.

You will learn by doing, shadowing others and gain experience working with different teams. For example, you will spend time working with Producers and Production Managers, as well as with our Marketing Department and working on Walk the Plank’s projects. You will be supported by a Project Manager throughout your time with us.
Emerging Creatives are people interested in working in the creative industries who are at, or near the beginning of their career in the arts. We are looking to develop the next generation of creative industry professionals, especially candidates who feel they are:
Finding that the way things are set up is making it hard to get training or experience, or a foot in the door. Didn’t go to University or didn’t complete a University course. Not seeing people like themselves in the sector, or working in TV, film and theatre.

The position will start from March 2026, and can be flexible depending on your existing commitments. Here is a rough project timeline:
March: Join regular team meetings, visit event locations, meet with the creative teams, work as part of the team at our Salford HQ
April – August: Live events taking place
September: Evaluation

Start Date: March 2026 onwards (flexible)
Salary: £7,862.40 part time salary based on a 3-day working week for up to 6 months (full time annual salary equivalent £26208) to support your employment and training. Paid monthly.
Length of Contract: 6 months
Location: The role will be mainly based in Walk the Plank’s office at Cobden Works, 37-41 Cobden Street, Salford, M6 6WF – you will be expected to work in the office. You will also be expected to travel to different event locations. Travel and accommodation, if necessary, will be paid for and arranged by the company.
Equipment: Laptop, equipment and training will be provided.
