About The Role

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Electronic Engineer to join our innovative engineering team in Dorset. This role focuses on PCB layout, circuit design, and diagnostic problem solving across a range of electronic systems. You’ll be involved from concept through to validation, working in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop analogue and digital circuits to meet performance and project requirements.
  • Create schematic diagrams and PCB layouts using KiCAD, ensuring compliance with industry standards and manufacturability.
  • Prototype, assemble, and test PCBs, performing functional verification, debugging, and fault diagnosis.
  • Validate designs through simulation and bench testing.
  • Collaborate with firmware and mechanical engineers to integrate electronics into final products.
  • Document design processes, test results, and revisions for traceability.
  • Support product and process improvements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or related field).
  • Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in analogue and digital circuit design.
  • Proficiency in KiCAD for full PCB design workflow (schematic capture to Gerber generation).
  • Strong understanding of PCB fabrication, assembly techniques, and testing methodologies (oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal analyzers).
  • Familiarity with LTSpice or similar simulation tools and version control systems.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
