Job summary

A UK-based distributor of specialist test equipment is seeking a Field Service Technician to service and repair electro-mechanical systems including gas analysers and mixers. This role involves both workshop and field service tasks across the UK and Northern Ireland, with full training provided. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in technology, basic mechanical and electrical skills, and be able to work independently. The salary ranges between £30,000-£38,000, plus benefits including a company van and extensive training.

Qualifications

  • Strong interest in engineering/technology; confident to work independently once trained.
  • Basic mechanical understanding.
  • Wiring and basic electrical testing experience.
  • Full UK driving licence and good computer literacy.

Responsibilities

  • Service, calibrate and repair electro‑mechanical test and gas analysis equipment.
  • Carry out field service visits to customer sites across the UK & Northern Ireland.
  • Support workshop-based repairs and maintenance at the South Cambridgeshire service centre.
  • Provide professional, customer‑focused technical support and documentation.
