A local government body in the North East is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to provide high-quality electrical design and technical solutions for various construction projects. Responsibilities include designing electrical services, preparing technical specifications, and collaborating with project teams. The Construction Consultancy Services (CCS) team provide client‑side construction consultancy services across a range of professional disciplines to deliver capital build projects and programmes of all sizes, value and complexity on behalf of Durham County Council. The team has a growing mechanical and electrical design requirement and we are seeking applications for the Electrical Design Engineer role.
In this role you will provide high‑quality electrical design, advice and technical solutions for construction projects. You will be a member of a team of professionals. Our staff are experienced in construction design and management and hold a diverse range of professional accreditation and chartership including MCIBSE, IHE, CIOB, RICS, CIAT and RIBA.

In the role of Electrical Design Engineer you will be primarily responsible for conducting the electrical design for a wide range of building projects. In some cases you will act as the project lead fulfilling project management, contract administration and principal designer duties. In other cases you will fulfil lead designer or sub‑consultant designer duties as part of a multi‑disciplinary team.
