ASIC Corporation, a West Chester, Ohio based motion control distributor & systems integration firm, is seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer. This role offers an opportunity to work across diverse industries including automotive, power, consumer goods, medical, military, paper, and steel.

Base pay range

$50,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr

Responsibilities
  • Design electrical systems with AutoCAD.
  • Create component specifications and BOMs.
  • Troubleshoot and debug electrical designs.
  • Program PLCs, drives, and HMIs both in-house and on customer sites.
  • Travel to the continental US up to 30% of the time.
  • Manage project hours, schedules, and interface with customers.
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of PLC, HMI, and servo control and integration experience.
  • Experience with schematic design software and AutoCAD.
  • Excellent technical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
Preferred skills
  • Field experience commissioning and starting up PLC based control systems.
  • Knowledge of communications protocols: AB Ethernet I/P, DeviceNet, BACnet.
  • HMI programming with AB FactoryTalk, ViewSE, Proficy.
  • Servo & VFD drive controls: AB, Control Techniques, ABB.
  • PLC programming on AB, Siemens, IDEC, and/or Unitronics.
