About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Accounts Assistant to join our well-established finance team, based primarily at our Sunderland dealerships.

This role is ideal for someone early in their accounts career, or for someone looking to gain hands-on experience and develop their skills within a growing, forward-thinking business. You’ll receive training, guidance and ongoing support while working across a wide range of accounting duties within the motor trade.

Accuracy and meeting deadlines are an important part of this role, particularly around month-end, and you’ll be supported by the wider team during busier periods.

There may be occasional travel to other Pulman sites as required.

Key Responsibilities

Full training will be provided, so you don’t need experience in everything listed below.

• Assisting Management Accountants with the preparation of management accounts
• Supporting ad hoc projects within the accounts department
• Banking and payment processing
• Credit control and debtor management
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Petty cash reconciliations
• Ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed timescales
• Working closely with dealership and accounts teams to support day-to-day operations
