Job summary

A leading generator specialist in the UK is looking for a skilled individual to service and maintain large generator sets. You will work closely with the Generator Engineer Foreman and the Rental team in a depot-based role, with occasional site travel required. The ideal candidate will possess a relevant qualification or experience with generators, a full driving licence, and the ability to work autonomously. Qualifications

  • Relevant qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Diesel Fitting or experience with generators.
  • Full Driving Licence essential, towing categories preferred.
  • Fork Lift Truck Licence is advantageous but can be trained.
  • Experience working in a workshop environment is a plus.
  • Holder of CSCS Card preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain, and manage large generator sets for Rental fleet.
  • Assist in the yard with loading and unloading equipment.
  • Drive fork lift truck as required.
  • Re-book generators into stock.
  • Carry out servicing and repairs off site.
  • Participate in call out rota.

Skills

Mechanical/Electrical Engineering knowledge
Knowledge of generators or large diesel engines
Ability to work on own initiative
Flexibility in work approach

Education

Relevant qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering/Diesel Fitting/Plant
