Job summary

A leading nuclear energy company in the UK is seeking a Senior Fuel Performance Engineer to ensure integrity and safety of fuel rods throughout their lifecycle. This role involves developing performance methodologies, providing technical expertise, and collaborating on safety cases. Ideal candidates possess a Master's degree in a relevant field and have a strong technical background. The position offers a competitive salary ranging from £48,000 to £62,500, with hybrid working and excellent benefits including performance bonuses and health insurance.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable knowledge of fuel performance principles and assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Define and review fuel performance requirements for vendors.
  • Develop fuel performance models and methodologies.
  • Provide technical support to clients and regulators.
