Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter in heavy or industrial equipment assembly.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in mechanical fitting or assembly roles.
• Experience with pneumatic systems and heavy industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Fit, assemble, and align mechanical components for large pneumatic mechanical systems.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical faults in large precision systems.
• Operate workshop machinery for component manufacture or modification.
• Assemble and maintain pneumatic circuits and control systems.
• Safely operate lifting and rigging equipment for large assemblies.

Skills

Mechanical assembly and repair skills

Knowledge of pneumatics

Competence in machining and fabrication techniques

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Skilled in using hand tools and power tools

Familiarity with lifting equipment

Education

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or Fitting
