Job summary

A leading technology company in Farnborough is looking for an experienced Build Assembly Technician. In this role, you will manufacture and test various components using established production processes and maintain production equipment. Successful candidates will have a good understanding of health & safety regulations and experience with automated splice machines. Qualifications

• Capable of manufacturing assemblies to specification without direct supervision.
• Good understanding of clean room health & safety regulations.
• Experience with automated splice machines such as Fujikura or Sumitomo.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture products and assemblies without direct supervision.
• Operate shop floor activities following HSE standards.
• Document production data for tracking and reporting.

Skills

Manufacture assemblies to specification

Understanding of clean room health & safety regulations

Knowledge of Lean and 6-sigma principles

Experience using automated splice machines

Splicing experience with fibers

Knowledge of optical measurements
