St George’s and the Church of the Resurrection are working together as part of the Diocese of Lincoln’s Strategic Development Fund Revitalisation Programme, joining as one church across two locations to grow worshipping communities, deepen discipleship, and resource mission in Scunthorpe. This initiative aims to bring spiritual renewal, numerical growth, and the development of new leaders within an inclusive Anglo‑Catholic tradition.
We are now seeking an Operations Manager to ensure that the day‑to‑day life of the churches runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely—freeing ministry teams to focus on mission and discipleship.
Who We Are
Our two churches serve a combined population of around 20,000 people in the richly diverse areas of Crosby and Berkeley. St George’s sits in one of the 5.5% most deprived parishes in the Church of England and is connected physically to the Crosby One Community Centre, serving people of many cultures and faiths. The Church of the Resurrection sits at the heart of a large housing estate and is rediscovering its place as a community hub.
We are committed to becoming inclusive, modern Anglo‑Catholic communities, welcoming all and reflecting the diversity of our parish. We especially encourage applications from UKME/GMH candidates, LGBTQ+ people, those with disabilities, and those returning to work.
About the Role
As part of the new Multi‑Generational Team, you will work primarily from St George’s Church while also supporting ministry at the Church of the Resurrection. Your role will be to help adults aged 18+ connect with church life, overcome barriers, and find belonging in a growing Christian community.
You will:
