Overview

Advanced Clinical Practitioner - Liverpool

£66,792 per annum

Full time Monday - Friday 8am-4pm

We have an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our Primary Care Team at HMP Altcourse, a category B prison located in the Fazakerley area of Liverpool.

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate judgement in assessing and managing wide ranging and complex patient problems
  • Provide clinical leadership for the mental health team, this multi-disciplinary team is made up of a variety of registered and non-registered professionals including mental health, and substance misuse practitioners
  • You will act as a role model ensuring professional appearance and maintaining professional standards at all times
  • Supporting senior clinicians on site you will be part of the daily leadership team, providing clinical input for all patients
  • As a clinical expert in your field, you will work with the team to ensure; patient safety, the management of complex cases and ensure the most up to date treatment methodology is applied to patient care.

Qualifications

Qualifications required:

  • Registered Nurse – Adult Mental Health with current NMC or Registered Paramedic with current HCPC
  • Independent/supplementary prescriber qualification
  • MSc in Advanced Practice
  • Experience working autonomously as an advanced clinical practitioner following best practice guidance
  • Although not essential, you will have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
