Job summary

A global financial services group is seeking a Data Centre Manager to oversee their European data centre and colocation sites in London. This role involves managing installation, troubleshooting, and environmental monitoring of data centre infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have significant experience working in data centres, familiarity with hardware from Dell, HP, Cisco, and Arista, and strong planning and documentation skills. This position offers a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Significant recent experience of working in data centres.
• Strong experience of data centre cabling.
• Familiarity with current Dell & HP servers and Cisco & Arista hardware.
• Strong planning skills and ability to collaborate with teams.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain server and storage systems.
• Act as a point of contact for data centre incidents.
• Assist system owners in troubleshooting issues.
• Monitor power, cooling, and space usage.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards.

Skills

Data centre installation and deinstallation

Data centre cabling (fibre and copper)

Familiarity with Dell and HP servers

Knowledge of Cisco and Arista network hardware

Documentation skills
