Contract: Full-time (Permanent)

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

About Us

We are an independent, warm, community-focused care home located in the heart of Barnes, providing high-quality residential care and emotional support to adults with varying mental health needs. Our approach is rooted in dignity, respect, and empowerment, and we are dedicated to helping residents build confidence, independence, and meaningful social connections.

We are now seeking a compassionate, motivated and skilled Mental Health Project Worker to join our multidisciplinary team and support the wellbeing and recovery journeys of the people who live with us.

The Role

As a Mental Health Project Worker, you will play a key role in supporting residents to achieve their personal goals, improve their well-being, and engage with the wider community. You will work closely with colleagues across care, clinical, and therapeutic services to provide thoughtful, person-centred support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver tailored mental health support plans with residents.
  • Provide day-to-day emotional support, guidance and motivation.
  • Plan and run well-being-focused activities, workshops and community engagement projects.
  • Build trusting, respectful relationships with residents, families and external partners.
  • Monitor progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to care reviews.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and recovery-focused environment.
  • Work collaboratively with clinical teams to ensure consistent and effective support.
About You

We are looking for someone who is empathetic, resilient, and genuinely passionate about improving the lives of adults with mental health needs.

Essential Skills & Experience
  • Experience supporting people with mental health conditions in a care, supported housing, community, or similar setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work calmly, confidently, and creatively in a varied environment.
  • Understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and person-centred approaches.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a dynamic team.
Desirable
  • Relevant qualifications in mental health, social care or psychology.
  • Experience working in residential care environments.
  • Knowledge of recovery-focused practice and trauma-informed approaches.
