A leading independent materials company in Rotherham is looking for an Apprentice Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team. This role involves completing a Level 3 Mechatronics Maintenance apprenticeship and ensuring mechanical maintenance and plant efficiency while focusing on health and safety practices. The successful candidate will receive both theoretical and practical training at the AMRC Training Centre and will be expected to have a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 5-9, including a grade 6 in Maths.
Breedon Group are looking for an ApprenticeMechanical Maintenance Engineer to complete a Level 3 Mechatronics Maintenance apprenticeship and join their team.
Reporting to the Quarry Manager, the candidate will ensure all mechanical maintenance, operation and plant efficiency is optimised, with a focus on energy reduction and sustainability. This is with an aim to maintain the safe, maximum level of availability and reliability at the lowest level of maintenance costs, covering all mechanical equipment, installations and buildings on the plant.
The candidate will be responsible for the maintenance of quarry plant and machinery equipment at each unit.
During the apprenticeship, the successful candidate will undertake appropriate theoretical and practical training to develop the knowledge, skills and experience required to achieve the qualifications whilst learning the practical skills through on-the-job experience.

Things to consider:
During the first year you will be required to attend the University of Sheffield AMRC Training Centre in Sheffield, full time for an initial block of study. You will return to your workplace one Friday per month. After the initial block training you will attend the AMRC Training Centre for one day a week to undertake the knowledge study. The remaining four days will be spent in company learning on the job.
