Job description

The Headteacher welcomes ECTS and experienced Teachers to apply to this Science teaching post, you will be joining an award–winning Science department within this high–achieving, 11 – 18 comprehensive school and will be teaching a KS3 – KS5 timetable.

THE SCIENCE TEACHING JOB:
  • Full–time Science teaching role
  • Teaching Key stage 3 and Key stage 4 and possibly key stage 5
  • State of the art facilities
  • Solid, well resourced, Science department
  • Full time (5 days a week) teaching position including planning and marking.
  • Parking is available on–site and the school is well–served by public transport
ABOUT THE SUCCESSFUL SCIENCE TEACHER WILL BE
  • Ideally hold a teaching qualification (QTSor QTLS preferred) or equivalent
  • A team player, able to lead and inspire colleagues and pupils alike.
  • Someone who can manage students of different abilities and differentiate lessons in line with the needs of the students
  • You will be proactive and innovative with the ability to engage students in different ways.
TO BE ELIGIBLE THE SCIENCE TEACHER MUST HAVE / BE:
  • Highly motivated and focused on achieving the best for every student.
  • A positive attitude and desire to maintain current standards and raise attainment across the school.
  • Lots of energy and enthusiasm
  • The ability to engage and motivate students whilst making learning fun
  • Excellent communication skills – the school encourages good communication with parents / carers
