As an RME Mechatronics Apprentice, you will launch your engineering career by mastering both electrical and mechanical engineering while working with Amazon’s cutting‑edge technology. You will maintain a wide range of automated equipment and workspaces, upholding Health and Safety best practices and preventing machine downtime to boost availability and quality.
Throughout the apprenticeship you will learn fault diagnosis, preventative maintenance, fluid power systems assembly and testing, mechanical device maintenance, electrical equipment wiring and testing, hydraulics and pneumatics, and PLC operations. You will also respond promptly to breakdowns, investigate, and implement solutions quickly, and contribute ideas for long‑term improvements.
Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering (Mechatronics Maintenance) is awarded by completing a full‑time residential programme during the first 12 months, followed by block‑release study for an HNC in Engineering or Mechatronics. You will work 24/7 shifts covering days, nights and weekends in patterns that reflect real‑world schedules.
