We are seeking a new trustee to support our charity as its treasurer, someone with experience in charity finance and fundraising as well as the ability to analyse proposals and examine their financial consequences.
As treasurer, you would help ensure the organisation matures sustainably, helping it reach markers set within the business plan over the next five years as well as critically reviewing growth strategy and operations through a financial lens.
The primary role of the trustee is to work constructively with other board members and staff to support the good governance of the charity, ensuring that the purpose of the charity is fulfilled and the charity is well managed and financially viable and working within the requirements of the law, regulation and its funders.
Now in its fourth year, our organisation is looking to step-up its engagement and programming, expanding services and projects across the UK with a view to deepening its expertise and social impact as a platform for new artistic talent and a driver of creative communication initiatives for creative voices on the fringes. To help make this a reality, we are expanding and diversifying our Board of Trustees, seeking innovative thinkers keen to support a burgeoning arts charity and social enterprise. The treasurer, especially, will be lynchpin for ensuring we are not only financially viable but have the capacity to scale up and out responsibly and efficiently.
Our board has a close relationship with our senior leadership team, and it prides itself on being friendly, relaxed and caring. While new trustees should have a keen eye on business, strategy and oversight, ideal candidates will also seek to become part of a creative endeavour that is passionate about positive connection, team work and co-creation and accountability.
