Job summary

A leading business insurance provider in Cardiff is seeking a proactive Sales Agent to join their telephone-based sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying leads, contacting potential customers, and promoting products. About the Role

We are looking for a highly proactive, motivated and results driven Sales Agent to join our growing telephone-based sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and nurturing leads, contacting potential customers over the phone to promote and sell our products or services. At Admiral Business we believe in providing exceptional products and services to our customers and as a key member of our sales team, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth of Admiral Business.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct calls to potential customers and effectively communicate the benefits of our products or services
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge and be able to answer customer enquiries
  • Upsell Admiral Business products to potential customers increasing the reach of Admiral Business
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships by providing exceptional customer service
  • Update customer information and sales records accurately in the CRM system
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, such as underwriting, customer service, and marketing to deliver timely and accurate solutions to customers.
Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated a strong track record within an outbound sales environment, including lead generation and prospecting.
  • Passionate about providing excellent service to the customer and going above and beyond with a strong desire to build rapport with customers.
  • A positive and self‑motivated mindset.
  • Great communication skills, both verbal and written with a keen eye for detail and an eagerness to learn.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in a fast‑paced start‑up environment.
  • Experience of working with CRM systems to maximise sales achievement.
  • Strong organisation skills with the confidence to challenge the status quo.

The successful candidate will be expected to work from either our Cardiff or Swansea office twice a week.

Interview Process

At Admiral Business, we like to keep things transparent, so you know what to expect.

Our interview process usually includes 3 stages:

  • Initial chat with the Talent Team
  • 1st stage interview with the Hiring Managers
  • 2nd stage interview with the Hiring Managers (on site)
