Job summary

A leading ecological consultancy is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Field Ecologist to join their growing team in Southampton for the 2026 ecological survey season. This full-time role requires a degree in a relevant subject, with an opportunity for a longer-term position based on performance. Candidates should possess field survey experience, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to biodiversity while having the ability to work in variable weather conditions and time management skills. Qualifications

  • Minimum of one field season of post-qualification experience in an ecologically focused role.
  • Ability to work independently and as a lead surveyor for small teams.
  • Full driving license and legal entitlement to work in the UK.

  • Support the team in providing excellent service to clients.
  • Travel across the region as needed for surveys.
